When East Meet West . Vol 5: London Day 4

After the non-stop full day walking and sun-bathing at Bath, I decided that my poor legs couldn't take it anymore. So The Duck declared the next day a leisure day.

We started the day with a traditional English breakfast at Weatherspoon.
My poor memory has taken the better of me so I really couldn't recall where we had it.
The weather was good. The sun was out yet it was cooling.

I had a cup of hot chocolate to go with my breakfast set which came with grilled tomato and mushroom, baked beans, a sunny-side egg, bacon, sausage and hash browns. I definitely love the juicy sausage and the hash browns which was crunchy on the outside and fluffy soft inside. Poke a runny yoke on it, totally heaven.

The portion was big!

We then started with the list of activities of the day. It starts with the letter S. Most of you would guess it right. It's SHOPPING! Wheee~~

Arsenal Station

The little serene town of Arsenal

Right outside the stadium

That's how the name was 'ironed' onto the jersey

We then took the tube and headed to Europe's busiest as well as most dense shopping street, Oxford Street, which currently has approximately 300 shops. Among the major stores are John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Topshop, Zara, Gap, etc..

Oxford Street

#1 Whittard of Chelsea

There were MEGA sales in most of the stores. *excited!! Check out my new outfit I wore for the following day to Cambridge.
#2 Uniqlo Hoodie T-Shirt (£4.90)
#3 Bershka Skirt (£5.99)
#4 Next Pumps (£25)

We strolled on and we bought Hummingbird cakes and Cinnabon (our dinner) and I bought some souvenirs from Cool Britannia. By the time we were done with our shopping, our feet were weary and our stomachs were grumbling.

My first English afternoon tea

1st tier: Sandwiches (cream cheese + cucumber, egg + mayonnaise and cream cheese + salmon)
2nd tier: Plain and raisin scones with butter and jam
3rd tier: Rich chocolate cake, strawberry cake, lemon tart and cheese tart

We did some more window shopping on our way back hoping to find the suitable present for both our parents before headed back.

Dinner was hummingbird cake and cinnamon bun from Cinnabon we bought in between our shopping

There were the carrot cake, red velvet cake and the Cinnabon bun. How I crave for a bite of the owh so yummylicious gooey cinnamon bun...
