Cambridge, a city for all seasons. The main reason which attracts me, worth all the running to catch the train despite my aching legs (I was wearing my new shoes), is the beautiful architecture and majestic college buildings.
Getting around was not hard. Of course, I had The Duck to be the guide. Hehe. There is a tourist information center nearby the train station. One can get the essential info by stopping by the counter. Tickets for the various highlighted activities and places can be bought there as well at a better rate. Free city maps are provided as well. If you have any doubts, feel free to ask.
If you may, lets open our eyes to this university town, the city of Cambridge.
Our Lady and the English Martyrs, a Catholic Church. A well-known landmark at the corner of Hills Road and Lensfield Road
We followed the road sign until we were led to the famous King's College. King's has a claim to being the third oldest university in England, which was founded by King George VI and the Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesly.

Inside the King's College Chapel, no flash photography and videography allowed. The chapel presented one of the finest example of Gothic English Architecture.
Magnificent fan-vaulted ceiling
Spectacular stained glass windows. Each window contains four main scenes
Behind The Duck is the splendid woodwork screen between the antechapel and the choir. It bears the initials of King Henry VIII and his current queen, Lady Anne Boleyn, along with her family crest (a falcon) and his Tudor rose.

People punting on River Cam. That's what we gonna do next! Hehe
Since it was already afternoon by the time we left King's College and it was raining, certainly not a good time for punting, we went for lunch. Caffe Nero happened to be our choice.
It is famed for its finest Italian style coffee so I had the Frappe Latte which The Duck had hot Cappuccino. Nice~ We ordered chicken, bacon and arrabbiata sauce panini (The Duck's), blueberry brunch pot (mine), and shared a slice of white and dark chocolate truffle cheesecake
After our city tour and the rain receded, we decided it was time to go punting.
Information extracted from Wikipedia.
A punt is a flat-bottomed boat with a square-cut bow, designed for use in small rivers or other shallow water. Punting refers to boating in a punt. The punter generally propels the punt by pushing against the river bed with a pole.
Punting in the rain. What a sight! XD

Yours truly. Regretted I wore my skirt. My movements were restricted then.

Cambridge's best known bridge, Bridge of Sighs
It was indeed a very nice experience. One can see the ducks and swans swimming by so close to the punts while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the two banks. For those who wanted to have more time relaxing on the punts, they can rent a whole punt and do the punting themselves.
