Happening Wednesday

The entry was dated back to 18th August, Wednesday. I was so tired these days so the posting is postponed until now. Finally can take a breathe at Friday. Just a small gasp of air.
It's the birthday of two of my friends aka coursemates, perhaps daddy-to-be. Sorry mama. XP Traditionally, we went for a celebration at Penang Island since there is a limited of venues to be chosen from in the mainland. Where did we went? I guess if you had been following me, you would have been smart enough to make a guess that we went for karaoke, yes again. LOL. Obviously Red Box would be the place we set for so off we went after class. Seriously it did felt like a Friday already.

Presented to you our main characters, Jong Shen and Moo

Most of us were practically starving by the time we got to Gurney. No way we are going to sing with an empty stomach. Having again limited choice of restaurants, we went to Xuan Xin Ramen House. We were lucky as we escaped the peak hours thus skipped the usual long queue. Despite the small space, the ambiance is really nice with a little Oriental touch. While waiting to be served, we did some snapshots. Hehe.

Uron and Moo

Salted fish, mama and me. Does my t-shirt looks any familiar? Haha

During this time, the customers came pouring in filling the empty seats. After some time, the arrival of the food was hinted by the alluring aroma of the noodles. Ho jiak!

Our birthday girl is happy with her food. One can tell by the t-shirt she was wearing

Tummy filled and everyone was satisfied. Off we went to Red Box. We were all ready to sing till we drop!! Its indeed enjoying to see them singing all the songs by the band Shin. Karaoke is indeed a good way for me to be recommended to nice new songs, even old ones. Hehe. I personally like 死了都要爱 which is a very old song but I just got to know recently.

Moo and the guys (Ch3, bihun, woof, jong shen, dailou, chess master and jien boy)

Sista (uron, mama, moo, me and salted fish) ^^

Whats for dinner? After much attempts to go for Xuan Xin steamboat, finally we made it this time. Hehe. Whats so special here is the porridge based soup. There are a wide arrays of meats and balls to choose from. A teppanyaki section is allocated at a corner, grilling really tender and juicy beef and luncheon meat.

Just when you thought someone is finally eating vege

Turn out to be gulping in fishballs and meatballs. One would have thought we went for lok lok rather than steamboat

Not forgetting to give credit to our dedicated prawns 'skinner' who performed the most tedious job, thats right, skinning the prawns before grilling them. Saving all the mess and trouble. Thanks lots~

With the number of people, we were given two connecting tables with a porridge+tomyam based pot and another one porridge+some-clear-soup pot. Tomyam would definitely be my choice and I was lucky to be in this part of the table.

The other half of the table took to much food and in the end they settled them off by playing game and the losing team had to finished them off. Lol.

Free flow of ice-cream with three choices of vanilla, chocolate and mint were to be chosen on weekdays. I understand that more choices are available on weekends perhaps due to larger crowd.

Though tiring, we enjoyed ourselves. Wish the birthday guy and lady (LOL) a very blessed year ahead and that things will go for the best for them.
